Marvel Legends Series 6" TRU Exclusive Avengers 3-Pack - Sam Wilson Captain America & Vision

It's your Half-New, Half-Different Marvel Legends! Featuring Sam Wilson Captain America and Vision.

Let's get the most disappointing part out of the way first. Where are the wings!?! You expect the Sam Wilson Captain America to come with his wings....  they are an integral part of the character. Even Sam himself is disappointed. Just look at his pissed off expression. The lack of wings aside this is a great figure. He's got a good head sculpt. I feel they put one too many wrinkles on his forehead. They make him look a lot older. The goggles were sculpted and were well painted. His short hair is textured. The body is a mix of new parts and old. The torso and shoulders are new while the arms and legs come from the Marvel Now Captain America. This new torso is bigger and bulkier. The costume details were all sculpted. I like the work they did for the lines and the star. There's the metal pieces on his shoulders. Just wished he came with his pack and his wings. The paint apps are decent. The white got into the blue gaps in the front but fortunately there's still enough blue visible to maintain the look. The belt is new. It's got several pouches on it and I like the design of the buckle. It's accurate to what he wears in the comics.

He comes with his shield. It's the same shield that came with the Marvel Now Captain America. The colours are of a brighter tone here. You can see a comparison later.

There's a hole in the back where he can carry his shield. If you have Red Wing from the Toy Biz  Falcon you can have him accompany Sam. The peg fits.

Next up is Vision based on his appearance in Uncanny Avengers. I'm not a fan of the colour scheme. Still they did a good job of him. The figure reuses the Bucky Captain America body. All of the costume details were painted on. The paint apps are good. The lines and design came out clean and straight. No complaints from me about that. They also painted the back. He's got a new head sculpt to match the updated look in the comics. I find the circles on the side of his head distracting. Is he wearing headphones? I like the sculpted diamond on his forehead. Again the paint apps are good here. The eyes were well painted. One thing which annoys me about my figure is the looseness of the joints. The neck hinge and hips in particular are very loose. So much so he can't even stand straight.

He comes with a new cape. I very much prefer the look of this cape compared to the one we got in the Hulkbuster BAF series. This one has more material and drapes down nicely with a couple of folds. At the top is a dark green circular collar which does not affect neck articulation.

Articulation. Sam has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down very well, which is good for flying poses. Oh right, no wings. The ab joint bends forward a notch and can go back a notch.

Vision has got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Both are great figures. The Sam Wilson Captain America is actually pretty good. It's just a shame he doesn't come with his wings. Thanks for viewing!
