Star Wars Rebels Darth Vader, Ahsoka Tano, Ezra Bridger

New Star Wars: Rebels figures to add to the collection! Here's a look at Darth Vader and Ahsoka Tano. I already have Ezra but I had to buy him again for his lightsaber.....

Ezra is from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Desert Mission line while Darth Vader and Ahsoka Tano are from the TFA Space Mision 2-pack.

It was great to see Ahsoka appear in Rebels. I always like it when the new series reintroduce elements from the previous one. I loved the part when she and Rex met each other again. It gets to you you know. Her appearance got an update as you would expect. The figure shows off her new look very well and with great detail. I think the head sculpt is good. She wears a pleasant expression. The paint apps are superb. I have no complaints with regards to the pattern on her face and on her Lekku. I like the tan and brown colour combination of her outfit. The skirt section has really nice sculpted detail. There are hooks at the sides but she unfortunately has no accessories that can hook on. Ahsoka has trouble standing, more so with her arms extended.

Her former Master looks great as well. The Rebels series uses a lot of the Mcquarrie Concept and it is evident in this look of Darth Vader. The helmet is sharper and it is more downward curved at the eyes giving him a more menacing look. The eyes are reddish in colour. His head was sculpted looking up which is a little annoying. The body is nice and has good detail. I like the chest box and the detail on his belt. They were well painted too. His legs and the outer robe were sculpted together as one piece. It's awkward but it's unlikely we'll be using his leg articulation so it won't be noticeable. The cape has a good shape. It is flexible and not removable. The upper torso is missing some paint. Only the central strip was painted grey. It looks like he's wearing a tie.

Both Darth Vader and Ahsoka come with lightsabers. Ahsoka comes with two and one of them has a curved hilt. The blades are blue compared to green which she wielded in the Clone Wars. I would have loved them to be white, as seen in a recent episode of Rebels. It would be truly unique for a figure.

Darth Vader also comes with red disc and launcher while Ahsoka comes with a Force effect piece which has some swirly detail on it. These are more for the younglings.

I won't touch on Ezra (right, in the below pic) much. He's basically the same figure that was released previously in the Saga Legends Line. There are some paint differences. A darker shade of colours was used on his outfit. The yellow areas are now more brownish.

He comes with a helmet which we've seen previously. There's also the lower section of the Build a Weapon which comes in three parts. I don't intend to finish it. I think I'll use it a shield. The most important accessory is his lightsaber. I would have liked if the blade were removable so he can use it as his gun as well.

Articulation. All of the figures have only five points of articulation, at the neck, shoulders and hips.

Comparison shots.

These figures are a must get for Rebels fans. Thanks for viewing!
