Marvel Legends Amazon Exclusive Avengers: Age of Ultron Black Widow and Hawkeye

You knew they were next. A couple of master assassins.

Black Widow is a repaint of the Maria Hill figure. The head, hands and forearms reuses those from the previous Black Widow figure from the Mandroid BAF series. Though the head sculpt is the same, they made her look like a nervous, inexperienced rookie heading into battle for the first time. I think it's due to her rather large eyes. Her skin tone is lighter and she's wearing bright red lipstick. Her hair is a dark red. It's got some red shading in it. Her costume has a good amount of detail. The front zip is fully painted. The blue lines came out nice and straight. Her belt has the hourglass and the buckles of her thigh traps were also painted. I also like that there's some paint detail on her bracelets. I find the blue of her elbow and knee pads distracting. There's a noticeable blemish on her chest which I'm not happy about.

Here's the comparison. I like the previous version better.

Accessories. She comes with her batons. They can be used to shock enemies hence they have blue paint at one end. She can hold them decently. They were warped out of the package.

Hawkeye too is a repaint. The body reuses the Avengers movie figure. The head sculpt is new. I think he's got a good likeness. He doesn't have the shades and he has combed hair here which I think suits him better. His top has great textured detail. The padded areas, wrist guard, knee pads and boots were painted shiny black to help them stand out.

In addition to the new head there are some other differences. He doesn't have the S.H.I.E.L.D logo and the harness. The shoulder area is a shiny black instead of light grey. The wrist guard and the finger glove are black and compared to silver and purplish red respectively. The red on this costume is darker.

Accessories. He comes with his bow and a quiver of arrows. This quiver actually has arrows and has paint detail.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel and vertical hinge right wrist, swivel hinge left wrist, torso pivot, ball hinge hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. The right vertical hinge is not very usable. Not sure what's up with the torso joint of my figure. Every time I shift it it slowly returns back to its original position.

Black Widow has got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbow, wrist swivel, torso rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look down well but not up. The torso can only be rotated. It can hardly bend forward or back. She has trouble standing and it's hard to pose her.

Comparison shots.

Something extra. I had a request to feature Hawkeye in a suit. The head I think is a little too big but it will work.

Hawkeye I think is an improvement over the previous figure. Black Widow is okay. The paint apps for her face spoils her for me. Now hopefully they release Vision, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Thanks for viewing!
