Marvel Legends Amazon Exclusive Avengers: Age of Ultron 4-Pack Thor

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Avengers: Age of Ultron Thor.

Thor is a great looking figure. He's got a great head sculpt. The likeness is very good and he's got that quizzical look which we sometimes see him with. The beard was sculpted which is nice. The eyes were very well painted. The hair is a big improvement from the Avengers movie figure. It doesn't appear too much like a separate piece and it has great sculpted detail. There's a pony tail at the back and also braids. His hair has also got some nice whitish yellow shading in it. The whole body is new. The upper torso is a solid section while the lower half has an overlay made of a soft, flexible material. The black areas have a bit of texture and look leather like. The plated detail was well sculpted. The blue area of  the "skirt" has sculpted seams. All awesome stuff but it doesn't stop there. The vambracers on his forearms were actually sculpted. And there's chainmail running down the sides of his legs. The boots too have great sculpted detail. Fantastic for a Hasbro figure! The paint apps is a little bit of a let down. On my figure anyway. The metallic paint got on the black in several areas. I think all the plated areas were silver in the movie. Hasbro used a light gold for the central piece and the boots which I think makes him look better. There's no paint on the back of the figure. He wears an all new cape. I love the look of this one. It drapes straight down and has several folds in it. It's textured too, both on the inside and out. I also like the brighter tone of red.

Accessories. He comes with Mjonir. It's the same one which we got with the previous Avengers movie Thor. This one is shiny silver in colour though. Wonder if he had it polished. There's also not as much shading at the patterned sides. I can see what they were trying to do with the handle. They outlined the strapping with silver, which is how it appeared on screen. Some areas were done okay while in other areas the paint has gone onto the brown. That's why the handle looks "silverish".

Articulation. He's got a ball join neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel and vertical hinge, torso pivot, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He cannot look down or up. Head rotation is hindered but you can still turn it. The "skirt" section is flexible enough to allow a good range of leg articulation.

Just to clarify what I mean by vertical wrist hinge. It allows him to point Mjonir forward as shown in the pic above. It's also good for swinging and flying poses.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! Great detail and articulation. I highly recommend getting it. Thanks for viewing!
