Star Wars The Black Series 3.75" Darth Malgus

Here's a look at the Black Series 3.75" Darth Malgus.

I didn't play Star Wars: The Old Republic game, but I did see all the awesome trailers. I especially liked the one where Darth Malgus led the assault on the Jedi Temple. His "badassery" had me wanting a figure of him. Darth Malgus kinda resembles Darth Vader. He wears a respirator mask and in dressed in a thick black and grey attire with mechanical components. The figure is a re-release of the Vintage Collection figure. I'm not sure if there's any difference between the two. He's got a great head sculpt and decent paint. The eyes could be better but it's still passable. The markings were well painted. There's also a dark grey wash on his pale head. There's great sculpted detail on his body. Check out his chest armour. He wears control pads on both his forearms and I like that they have paint detail. His belt and boots have also got nice silver paint detail.

Accessories. He comes with a cloak, his ignited lightsaber and lightsaber hilt. The lightsaber hilt may be attached to his belt.

The cloak is too big and it's hard to get him to look good in it.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, wrist swivel, waist rotation, peg hips, swivel hinge knees and ankle swivel and hinge. The shoulder pads prevent him from lifting his arms straight up.

Comparison shot. The two are quite alike.

I missed the one from the Vintage Collection so I'm glad he got released again. Thanks for viewing!
