DC Collectibles Designer Series Greg Capullo Batman

Keeping things with Batman. Here's a look at the DC Collectibles Designer Series Batman figure. I actually got it quite some time back. It's about time I got round opening it.

The figure is based on Greg Capullo's art. It has a good likeness. The head sculpt is nice. He's got a serious, no nonsense look. The downward slanted lines on his mask just above his eyes contribute to that, in addition to his scowl. He's wearing the New 52 costume. The sculpted lines on it makes it look of a thicker material and more protective. I like what they did at the top of his arms. They have a straighter shape rather than rounded, suggesting he's wearing some shoulder armour there. The knee pads have a bat shape to them. The cape was made of a soft flexible material. It's quite unique, being sculpted with the ends spread out like that. It gives him a more action kind of feel. He'll look great in poses.

Accessories. He comes with three Batarangs. They are of the same shape and size. He can only hold them in his left hand. They are slots in between his fingers where you place them.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, forearm swivel, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and swivel hinge ankles. He cannot lift his legs up to the sides much.

Comparison shots. He's taller than Mattel's DC figures.

Great figure. Thanks for viewing!
