SDCC 2014 Marvel Legends Thanos Imperative Black Bolt

Here's a look at the new Marvel Legends Black Bolt figure from the Thanos Imperative set.

"Your tuning fork is crooked." That just popped into my head. Seeing it reminded me of an issue of Mego Theatre from Toyfare where Mr Fantastic's sticker was crooked. Anyway the "tuning fork" on Black Bolt's forehead looks to be stuck on crooked and off centre which is annoying. And my figure has a splotch of glue at the bottom of it. Another annoying thing is that his wings are fixed on his arms. They look great when in use but they are out of place when not. I guess you can hide them by keeping them straight like in the following pics. The body reuses the Bucky Captain America body. The gloves are added on pieces. The silver design of his costume was painted on. It's okay for the most part. There are some areas where there are noticeable black spots. The paint on his wings is worse where there are even more spots and scratches.

A closer look at his wings. I love the shape and look of them.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots. I like that this figure has a stronger skin tone. And despite the fixed position, I prefer the new wings compared to the cloth ones on the previous Black Bolt figure.

Overall this is a good figure and a welcome update. Thanks for viewing!
