STGCC 2013 Update 4: Hot Toys Gears Up for Action and more Celebrated Artists


Singapore, 16 August 2013 – With just two more weeks to an explosive action-packed weekend, the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC) unleashes the crowning content from Hot Toys, together with more talented pop culture personalities joining the Walk of Fame.




The Iron Man Experience

Step into Tony Stark aka Iron Man’s Malibu Mansion at this year’s STGCC. The almighty duo – Hot Toys and Action City, will be bringing the Hall of Armor to STGCC. An exact life-size replica from the Iron Man 3 blockbuster, it showcases the full collection of authentic movie armors – the Mark I through the Mark VII, with the Mark XLII as the centerpiece. Prepare to be awed by the intricate details and fine finish of each of Tony Stark’s armors.


Fans who have always wanted a taste of what it is like inside Tony Stark’s underground lab will receive a special treat this year. Hot Toys and Action City pay homage to this billionaire wisecracking tech genius with two holographic display showcases, featuring Hot Toys’ 1/6th scale Mark VII and Tony Stark collectible figures. Witness the figures come alive with the 3D holographic animations.


Hot Toys Iron Man 3: 1/6th scale Midas (Mark XXI)

For the complete Iron Man experience, fans can now take home the Iron Man 3: 1/6th scale Midas (Mark XXI) collectible figure from Tony Stark’s “House Party Protocol” in the memorable scene when his army of suits was activated to aid him in his final battle with Aldrich Killian. This high-altitude suit features multitude layers and shades of metallic gold, giving the collectible figure a brilliant finish. 800 sets will be available for purchase only at STGCC, together with limited edition figurines of Captain America (Star Spangled Man Version) [The First Avenger], Joe Colton [G.I. Joe Retaliation] and Superman (Evil Version) [Superman III].

Nathan Hamill



Nathan Hamill, son of Mark Hamill, was born during the filming of Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980). Growing up on a healthy diet of cartoons, comics, movies and toys, Nathan is a talented self-taught artist who draws Bart Simpson from The Simpsons. He has an affinity for large-eyed creatures, which he has proudly displayed in his works, ranging from illustrations to sculptures. He makes what he likes, and he truly lives by that.



Dexter Soy


An architecture graduate turned illustrator, Dexter Soy is Marvel Comics’ newest rising star, having caught the attention of Senior Vice President Marvel Studios/Disney, C.B. Cebulski, with his Thor fan art. His works to date include the relaunch of Captain Marvel. He also worked on Superior Spider-man, Gambit and Uncanny X-force. He also did works for DC: Legends of the Dark knight and currently working on Masters of the Universe vs. DC Universe.




Lyndon Gregorio


Lyndon Gregorio is responsible for bringing daily entertainment to the readers of The Philippine Star with Beerkada, a 15-year-old comic strip that has been chronicling the misadventures of a group of college friends. An accomplished cartoonist, Lyndon was chosen as the Manila, Philippines representative for the Goethe-Institut's City Tales year-long blog, together with eight other artists from Germany and Southeast Asia.
